Magnetic insect screen – a practical solution for balcony, patio, yard, and other appropriately sized doors. The fine mesh structure helps protect rooms from mosquitoes, flies, and other flying insects while allowing air to circulate freely.
The screen consists of two parts that open down the middle. When passing through, they part easily, and magnets positioned in the center help the screen close again. There’s no need to lift or fasten it by hand each time, making it convenient to walk through the door while carrying items. Many household dogs and cats can also pass through the center of the screen.
Magnetic Closure
Magnetic elements positioned down the center of the screen join both parts together. When passing through, the screen parts, and after passing, the magnets help it close again.
When properly installed and aligned, the screen parts join smoothly, allowing convenient hands-free passage through the door.
Fine and air-permeable mesh structure
The fine mesh fabric acts as a physical barrier, helping to prevent flying insects from entering the room. At the same time, air can circulate through the mesh openings.
The screen is especially useful during warm seasons when balcony, patio, or yard doors are often kept open.
Convenient Passage for Pets
The flexible parts that open down the middle allow many household dogs and cats to pass through the door independently. After the pet passes, the magnets help both sides of the screen join together again.
Easy installation
The screen is attached to the top and sides of the door frame using the mounting strips included in the kit. Before installation, it is recommended to clean, degrease, and thoroughly dry the surface.
Fabric loops are installed on the sides of the screen for the hooks included in the kit. These can be used to pull back and hold the screen parts when you want to temporarily leave a wider passage. When the hooks are not in use, the screen functions normally – closing with the magnets in the center.
Weights sewn into the bottom help the screen maintain a straighter position and reduce movement. During installation, it is important to align the screen so that the center part is not overly taut and the magnets can join freely.
What size doors does it fit?
The overall dimensions of the screen are approximately 90 × 210 cm, including the fastening edges. The side fastening edges are approximately 2 cm wide, while the top edge is approximately 4 cm wide.
Taking into account the fastening edges and the allowance required for installation, the recommended maximum door opening size is approximately 85 × 205 cm
The screen may also fit a smaller door opening if there is enough flat surface around it to adhere the full width of the mounting strips. Before purchasing, it is recommended to measure the door opening and the installation area around it.
Important: the bottom of the installed screen should almost reach the floor but should not drag on it. The center of the screen should not be tightly stretched – after passing through, the magnets must join freely.
